Het was afgelopen zaterdag volop genieten met de klanken en baslijnen van Wildstylez, Frontliner, Slim Shore en Jack of Sound tijdens de eerste editie van ST8MENT in de Effenaar. Via deze weg willen we iedereen bedanken voor een fantastisch en meer dan geslaagde eerste editie van het evenement. De foto’s staan inmiddels online en kan je hier bekijken.

Vanavond is poppodium de Effenaar het strijdtoneel voor de eerste editie van ST8MENT met o.a. Wildstylez en Frontliner. Ben je nog niet in het bezit van een ticket? Geen zorgen, er zijn nog tickets verkrijgbaar aan de deur voor slechts 20 euro per stuk.

ST8MENT PUBLICEERT TIME-TABLE EN LAATSTE WEETJES

Op zaterdag 10 maart staat Nederlandse trots centraal tijdens de eerste editie van ST8MENT. In het Eindhovense poppodium de Effenaar voeren de harde elektronische muziekstromingen deze avond de boventoon. De Nederlandse vedette Frontliner, bekend door zijn succesvolle album ‘Producers Mind’, en het wereldwijd bekende fenomeen Wildstylez vormen de hoofdacts tijdens deze rood-wit-blauw getinte editie van ST8MENT.

Keiharde baslijnen, harmonieuze klanken en toonaangevende artiesten zijn vanaf 22:00 tot klokslag 04:00 de ingrediënten voor een meeslepende avond onder leiding van Wildstylez en Frontliner. Naast deze twee raspaarden zullen Jack of Sound, verantwoordelijk voor de knaller ‘This Kinda Music’, en de getalenteerde Slim Shore deze editie van ST8MENT muzikaal ondersteunen.

Bus, Trein & Auto
Volg per auto de borden ‘Centrum’ tot aan het Centraal Station in Eindhoven. Daar aangekomen ligt de Effenaar in het zicht en is er voldoende parkeergelegenheid. Wie in het bezit is van navigatie kan het beste ‘Dommelstraat 2, Eindhoven’ invoeren als eindbestemming.

Bezoekers met het openbaar vervoer gaan bij het Centraal Station in Eindhoven naar de uitgang ‘centrum’, waarna de Effenaar duidelijk zichtbaar is. Surf naar 9292.nl voor meer informatie over reizen met het openbaar vervoer.

NS Nachtnet
Eindhoven is aangesloten op het NS nachtnet, waardoor bezoekers het evenement niet vroegtijdig hoeven te verlaten en lekker door kunnen feesten. De nachttreinen rijden ieder uur en verbinden de steden Eindhoven, Breda, Tilburg, ’s-Hertogenbosch, Dordrecht en de Randstad.

Tickets
Tickets voor de eerste editie van ST8MENT zijn verkrijgbaar voor slechts 15 euro (Ex. Fee) via st8ment.nl/tickets of st8ment.timoco.eu. Het is ook mogelijk om tickets te aan de deur te kopen, deze zijn verkrijgbaar voor 20 euro.

Legitmatie
De minimumleeftijd om het evenement te bezoeken is 18 jaar. In geval van twijfel kan aan de bezoeker worden gevraagd om legitimatiebewijs. Neem een geldig legitimatiebewijs mee en voorkom het risico om geweigerd te worden.

ST8MENT PRESENTEERT EEN KEIHARDE NEDERLANDSE NACHT

Op zaterdag 10 maart trilt Eindhoven op haar grondvesten tijdens de eerste editie van ST8MENT. Poppodium de Effenaar vormt deze avond het strijdtoneel waar de hardere muziekstromen centraal staan. Met hoofdacts als Wildstylez, verantwoordelijk voor de knaller ‘Lose My Mind’, en het hardstyle fenomeen Frontliner wordt de Nederlandse trots ruimschoots vertegenwoordigd tijdens deze editie van ST8MENT.

Line-up
Vanaf 22:00 tot klokslag 04:00 zal een selectie aan Nederlandse top artiesten hun harde ‘sound’ ten gehoren brengen in de Effenaar. Wildstylez en Frontliner, de smaakmakers van deze avond, zullen in het alom bekende poppodium worden ondersteunt door Slim Shore en het alsmaar rijzende talent Jack of Sound.

ST8MENT
ST8MENT maakt in 2012 haar intrede als organisatie en staat voor een zeer gevarieerde, energieke en periodiek terugkerende avond waar wisselend de hardste muziekstijlen, zoals hardstyle, early-hardstyle, oldschool en hardcore, de toon zullen zetten.

Gedurende de komende edities zal ST8MENT iedere avond de hardere klanken van een specifiek label, artiest, land of harde muziekstroming presenteren. Deze reeks wordt gestart met een oer-Hollandse editie van het concept, waarna ST8MENT in het najaar terug zal keren voor haar tweede editie.

SLIM SHORE

Slim Shore aka Henry Snijders was formerly known as the on-stage face of the Dutch Master project. In 2007 Henry was discovered by the Dutch Master Works-label and was asked to join their crew.

His talent for producing and his major dj-skills contributed highly to the success of this project and soon Henry played big events like Defqon 1, In Qontrol, Q-base, Qountdown, X-Qlusive and Hardbass. Besides rocking big events in Holland he also got to play all across Europe and Australia, smashing dancefloors with banging tunes as Motion, Slammin’ the Bass, Pride, Floorspin, Resort to the Beat, Taste Me and The Scene.

Unfortunately differences in views to where the Dutch Master project was going in the future broke up the cooperation between Henry and Dutch Master Works. Henry had to make a new step and decided to return to his old love: Slim Shore. An alias he used long before he got signed to any label. The name may have changed but the producer/dj remains the same. Henry’s fully focused on making Slim Shore a name you wont forget. Henry will keep bringing you big ass productions and killer dj-sets, Slim Shore is on his way again. Party hard!

JACK OF SOUND

Chris Oberman was born in Rotterdam, The Netherlands on the 30th of November in 1985. At a young age he already had his mind set to making music. At the age of six he started taking guitar lessons, he entered a choir and did auditions for various shows. At the age of 11 he started experimenting with electronic music and bought the software program called “Acid Pro”. Just by using samples he tried to make his own tracks. He always loved to show his creations to his family and friends. Everyday he tried, through trial and error, to improve his sound and he still tries to improve it everyday. Never being satisfied with a track, or even just a kick or melody. Working on one kick for a week isn’t an exception, it’s done when he is completely satisfied.

He wanted to show his creations to a bigger audience, therefore he had to learn how to spin the wheels of steel. So he bought his first DJ gear, two turntables and a mixer. After practicing for days, and nights, he started participating in every DJ contest he could find. This way he gained a lot of experience. He won several DJ contests through out the country and in 2008 he won the biggest Hardstyle DJ contest in the world, the b2s Rookie Nights.

Besides DJ’ing he was still working on his own tracks and trying to improve his sound, but it wasn’t good enough. He decided to follow various producing courses, workshops and trainings next to his already busy psychology education at the University of Utrecht. Later on he searched for remix contests and won the first two he entered. He got his tracks released on AVIO Records and Dutch Master Works. You can describe his style as, original and catchy but hard. “When I make a track I try to build a theme in it and a good buildup, with a break that fits the theme in the track. I think originality is important and I try to make every track a track that stands on it’s own.”

The name “Jack of Sound” comes from his last name “Oberman”. Oberman was used as the name for the Jack in a card deck in Germany a long time ago like “Jack of Hearts”. He replaced “Hearts” with “Sound” and “Jack of Sound” was born.

In 2008, Jack of Sound won the B2S Rookie Nights and performed that same year on the massive Decibel Outdoor Festival. A year later he won the AVIO Records Remix Contest. His remix was chosen by Alphaverb and Intractable One as the best and most original remix. That same year he also won the Showtek Remix Contest “Black”.
The worlds leading hardstyle duo “Showtek” chose his remix of Black as the winning remix and got his remix released on the important hardstyle label Dutch Master Works.

Besides remixeshe also made some floor filling Mash-Ups such as the famous “Cocaine Fothermucker” Mash-Up, which appeared on the Qlimax CD 2009, and the many requested “Ultimate Donkey Rollers Mash-Up”. His tracks, remixes and mash-ups are being played by artists like Tatanka, Zany, Dozer and The Pitcher at all the world’s biggest hardstyle events like Qlimax, Defqon1, Decibel, In Qontrol and others.

In 2010 he joined one of the biggest hardstyle labels in the world, “Fusion Records” with artists like Zany, The Pitcher and the Donkey Rollers. The guys from Fusion were immediately impressed by his sound and original tracks. They offered him the contract that would change his life. His first release on Fusion Records featuring “A Ghost Story” and “You’re Next” has been played on all the big hardstyle events and appeared on the Decibel Outdoor 2010 and the HardBass 2011 compilation.

There’s no doubt about it, he’s Next…

FRONTLINER

Thiz guy from Amsterdam, Holland, started producing in 2005. At the end of 2006 he started a project with Headhunterz, together they made the huge hitz: Scantraxx Rootz & End of my Existence, released on Scantraxx Reloaded in 2007. He already played in several countries like Germany, Denmark, Italy,France and Hungary. Nowadayz he’z back in bizznizz, creating new tracks for the Scantraxx label.

WILDSTYLEZ

Wildstylez is working very hard on his carrier. Together with Headhunterz he is responsible for ‘Project One’. Besides ‘Project One’ he is releasing many hits in the hardstyle scene. Wildstylez is already a well known Dj in the hardstyle scene and his gig list is growing and growing. All the major Q-Dance and ID&T events are on his list and he is travelling all around Europe to do his thing where he is good at!
